WLUSU Public Relations looks to showcase Laurier’s entrepreneurial talent in

bi-annual Student Marketplace.

Waterloo, ON, February 6th, 2007 – The Public Relations committee will be promoting the upcoming bi-annual Student Marketplace on Tuesday February 6^th and again on Tuesday February 13^th to interested entrepreneurial minded students within the Laurier community. The promotional booth located in the Hall of Fame will be set-up during the specified days from 9 a.m. until 5 p.m. The booth will offer further information along with sign-up sheets for those interested.

Student Marketplace is a great opportunity for those business savvy students or creative arts and crafters to showcase their skills, by offering free space to promote their products and services in a high traffic peer to peer environment. In previous years, the Student Marketplace has seen handmade jewellery, clothing and accessories, and also musicians but is not limited to these categories.

Shannon Hall, Public Relations Committee Co-ordinator gives her input on the event. “After receiving such tremendous feedback from last semester’s Student Marketplace vendors, I strongly encourage anyone in the Laurier student body with a unique product or service, to take this opportunity and showcase their talent and initiative.” The success of Student Marketplace is driven by the participation of the student body, and the committee hopes to continue the success of this event.
