Rise Against to perform at Turret

WATERLOO, Ont., January 26, 2007— Rise Against will perform in concert Wednesday, February 7, 2007 at the Turret. Tickets are $29 for WLU students and $40 for non-WLU students, and can be purchased on-campus at the Centre Spot. Doors open at 9:00pm.

Rise against is a hardcore/punk rock band from Chicago, Illinois. Band members include vocalist-guitarist Tim McIIrath, guitarist Chris Chasse, bassist Joe Principe and drummer Brandon Barnes. The band, known for their strong social and political ideals and their active support of PETA, has released four albums since its creation seven years ago. Rise Against is currently touring Canada with Billy Talent, Anti-Flag, and Moneen.

“This will be nothing short of a stellar show for everyone,” said A-Team Co-ordinator Brian Punambolam. “Personally, I like the high energy music and the A-Team is very excited to put on this excellent concert!”

Also performing will be Anti-Flag. All Turret policies will be in effect.
