CAS Strike Information
At 6:01am on Wednesday March 19th, 2008, the Contract Academic Staff of WLU entered a legal strike as a result of an impasse in their collective bargaining agreement.
WLUSU has released this statement in regards to this strike.
At this point, there has been no progress made by either side during this stalemate and the student body continues to suffer at the hands of inaction. It is for this reason that WLUSU has released a new Plan of Action.
In this time of confusion the last thing students need is confused messages, so WLUSU has created www.wlustrike.com to provide a dedicated means of providing students with as much up-to-date information as possible. Please continue to check both www.wlusu.com and www.wlustrike.com.

There has been an outpouring of student communication with the office of the President and Board Members. We appreciate the communication from the students of Laurier and encourage further emails in this manner. To this end, we have created casstrike@wlusu.com as a focused means of collecting student ideas, opinions and concerns about the strike situation. Furher, If at any point students are made uncomfortable or feel pressured by the strike group or otherwise, they are encouraged to contact casstrike@wlusu.com.
