PUBLIC RELATIONS 2007-2008

As the communications arm of the Students’ Union, the Public Relations committee is responsible for imforming the Laurier student body, as well as the greater Waterloo community, of the activities and events being held by the various committees within WLUSU. by providing updates on the WLUSU website, writing press releases which are distributed to local media, and creating segments for Radio Laurier, the Public Relations committee helps promote events to the Laurier and Waterloo communities.

Public Relations also hosts the bi-annual Student Marketplace which takes place in the Concourse once per term. This event is an excellent opportunity for student entrepreneurs wishing to target the student body with their products or services and is a great way to showcase their talents.
