Me, Myself, and I
The week is yours. Take as much or as little from it as you see fit, however realize that this is the best time to get acquainted with the new students, as well as the university itself!
Talk: The more you ask, the more you know! The more you know the easier the transition. Ask your icebreakers, or any of the volunteers from the week, they are there to assist YOU!
Participate: The more energy and enthusiasm you put into the week, the greater the personal rewards. Remember that every volunteer was once in your position so ask for any assistance you need!
Respect: Remember to be sensitive to those around you. Everyone is assembled from different backgrounds so don’t assume; respect everyone’s opinions.
Know your limits: Everyone needs time alone, so don’t be afraid to take some throughout the week.
Be Yourself: You’re the person who knows you the best. Keep it real!
